Welcome to November! As I write it is unseasonably warm and you would be forgiven for believing that we are back in September, but I can confirm that advent calendars are already appearing in your local supermarkets, hence indicating the unstoppable approach of the end of the year. If existential angst is slowly creeping up on you as you increasingly ask yourself 'What have I done this year?' and the answer is deemed unsatisfactory, why not distract yourself with some of the events below?

The highlight of the month is undoubtedly the return of GIOFest at the CCA for its seventeenth edition. Complete with performances, jams, workshops, film screenings and more, GIOFest will satisfy all your weird musical cravings, and possibly make you question those cravings afterwards... in the best way possible!

On 18 November I will be leading the house set for the QMU Jazz Jam, so come along for a 7pm start! You can expect a mix of originals and modern Scottish jazz, and the jam is always a good laugh. What's not to like?
