Welcome to this month's round up of miscellaneous events that piqued my interest! Despite February being short, there is no shortage of events to fill your calendars with for the next few weeks. Unfortunately, one of the events I was most excited to share with you took place yesterday, which will act as my reminder to be more punctual with the release of these newsletters. The Old Hairdressers screened a documentary on improvised music-making of the name A Bright Nowhere, followed by live sets performed by musicians featured in the documentary. Should you be looking for something different to watch from your go-to sitcom, this is definitely a film to keep in mind.

The RCS has a number of eye-catching events beyond their standard music programme, such as a talk on performance anxiety in Conservatoire students, which promises to be insightful to anyone who has found their heart to be racing at a concerning rate as they prepare to go onstage. You can also catch this year's edition of Into The New at the CCA, where final-year contemporary performance practice students showcase their striking live art and performances.

Finally, if you don't know what to do tonight, make sure to catch Nu-Age Sounds PLANET WORLD at the Old Fruitmarket to catch the SNJO perform with a roster of the most exciting jazz artists on the scene. But if that's too short notice, keep your Thursday evening free in three weeks' time to catch the next GLITCH41 at the Rum Shack.
